Employment Opportunities

Counselors:

Positions are available for musicians and non-musicians to serve in leadership roles at the Festival.
These positions include but are not limited to supervising recreational activities and practice time, providing a safe environment for students, assisting faculty and administration with various duties, and serving as mentors to the students. These positions provide opportunities to perform and/or coach in various performing ensembles. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have patience when working with younger students. Counselors are required to attend both sessions of the Festival. They are provided with coverage of tuition & fees, room & board, private lessons, and a small stipend at the end of each session.

Office Assistants:

A limited number of positions are available for students to work as office assistants. Office assistants work with Festival administrators providing clerical help and general office duties.

Stage Crew:

A limited number of positions are available for stage crew workers. Stage Crew members are responsible for all equipment used by the Summer Music Festival and report to the administration. They work closely with HCSMF&I conductors and faculty members to ensure smooth rehearsals and performances.

Music Librarians:

A limited number of positions are available to work as music librarians. Music Librarians assist conductors of large and small ensembles and help manage the library of performance scores and parts.
